Jesus calls us to redirect our natural desire for greatness away from self-promotion and toward humble service to others using our unique, God-given spiritual gifts.

It is vital to have a purpose in life, but it is more important to have a purpose that is vital – centered on Jesus.

Matthew 20:26-28
“It will not be so among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave; just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many."

Matthew 6:24
"No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

I Peter 4:10
Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.
