Sunday Night Student Ministries

Sundays 6:00-7:30pm at The Rock

Beginning March 2, 2025:

Middle School and High School students, in 6th-12th grade, meet weekly on Sundays from 6:00-7:30pm inside The Rock. Students enjoy musical worship, a message designed just for students , and then breakout into small groups with other students their age.

Sunday Nights are a safe and welcoming place where students can connect in Christian Community, grow in their faith and ask questions as they discover more of who Jesus isOur small groups are led by mature and loving adults and young adults who care deeply about your family and being another resource for students in this journey through adolescence.

Our Student Ministry at Mount of Olives Church strives to create a safe environment for students to share struggles and to connect intimately and authentically. We desire that each student knows Christ deeper and makes Him known in their lives.

Middle School Winter Weekend

Each year, our Rock Student Ministry offers a fun Winter activity for middle school students.

This year, students enjoyed Middle School Winter Weekend in December where students in 6th-8th grade gathered with their friends for a weekend filled with Laser Tag, a Game truck, Rock Climbing, Food, Prizes, and an Overnight!

The big purpose behind these winter weekends is to share impactful and meaningful messages for young teens looking to better understand who Jesus is and how he changes everything. Our mission is to give students a safe place to find community and build a lasting faith.

Camps are designed to give students the opportunity to invite a friend to a fun event where they can hear the good news.

Details about the next Winter Activities are usually available in the fall.

First Communion

This is a short course for young people who have never been instructed in Holy Communion. Students must be at least in 5th grade to participate.

We will discuss:
1. What is Holy Communion?
2. The Plan of Salvation
3. How to grow as believers

This Class will also give 5th grade students the opportunity get connected to Rock Church Middle School (6th-8th). 5th grade students will be encouraged to start attending Rock Sunday Services starting May 13 and can attend our middle school summer camp and activities.

Students will study Luther's Small Catechism, which includes the Lord's Prayer, Ten Commandments, Apostles Creed, and more. Plus we will study the plan of salvation, memorize scripture, and apologetics. Middle School Summer Camp: BaseCamp

Every summer, The Rock student ministry of Mount of Olives Church offers fun summer activities for students including a Middle School Summer Camp.

For the last several years, middle school summer camp has been called, "BaseCamp". This camp aims to engage students entering 6th-8th grade for a week-long evening camp at The Rock. Each night of camp aims to make these summer nights one to remember, and give students the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus in a relevant and impactful way for middle schoolers. Students have fun, meet new friends and learn about Jesus. Each night is a new experience and filled with crazy games, Bible study and musical worship.
