Are you looking for a place to connect with others? Would you like to learn more about the Christian faith or dig deeper into the Word? This is the place for you! We're glad you're here. Mount of Olives offers many classes, Bible studies and events designed to help you on your journey.
Club 55 is a fellowship group for retired/semiretired people who meet to share a meal, conversation and enjoy a speaker, entertainment or field trip together. All are welcome to attend!
Cursillo is a four day weekend retreat offered several time a year. Men and women attend on separate weekends where they hear from several speakers and participate in planned activities and meals. Cursillo is designed to strengthen and renew your faith so you can experience God's Grace.
The retreats are attended by members of Lutheran congregations throughout Southern California. Mount of Olives regularly sends first-time pilgrim attendees as well as leaders and weekend volunteers.
Contact Pastor Jim Reynen with questions about Cursillo.
Requirements to attend a Cursillo Weekend:
You must be a baptized member in good standing at a Lutheran church. You will be paired with a sponsor who has previously attended Cursillo and must be endorsed by your Pastor. If you are married, both husband and wife must attend the Cursillo weekends paired together.

A team representing Mount of Olives Church runs with Team World Vision in the OC Half Marathon each year.
Team World Vision has created an easy couch-to-course training program that enables all people (no matter what shape they are in or what their age may be) to successfully complete the run. Plus, you're not alone! When training is done as a team, there is built-in accountability and everyone wins. Many of our team members are first-time runners and walkers.
The Couch-to-course training program begins now - this program was a perfect way to do something good for those in need in the name of the Lord and have accountability from your team members.
