  • Club 55

    Club 55 is a fellowship group for retired/semiretired  people who meet to share a meal, conversation and enjoy a speaker, entertainment or field trip together.  All are welcome to attend!

  • Cursillo

    Cursillo is a four day weekend retreat offered several time a year. Men and women attend on separate weekends where they hear from several speakers and participate in planned activities and meals. Cursillo is designed to strengthen and renew your faith so you can experience God's Grace. 

    The retreats are attended by members of Lutheran congregations throughout Southern California. Mount of Olives regularly sends first-time pilgrim attendees as well as leaders and weekend volunteers.

    Requirements to attend a Cursillo Weekend:
    You must be a baptized member in good standing at a Lutheran church. You will be paired with a sponsor who has previously attended Cursillo and must be endorsed by your Pastor. If you are married, both husband and wife must attend the Cursillo weekends paired together.

  • Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University

    Take control of your money with Financial Peace University (FPU)! This nine-lesson course uses biblical wisdom and common sense to help you tackle budgeting, pay off debt, and make your money work for you! FPU includes your member workbook and a year of free online resources through Financial Peace Membership. 

    What is Financial Peace University? It is the class that teaches you how: to Pay off debt, Budget, Save Money, Give Generously.

    Last Offered January-April 2020 at Mount of Olives. 

    Next on-campus offering TBD. Online course also available on FPU website.

  • Grief Recovery Workshop

    Offered Spring & Fall - This workshop is designed for all forms of grief/loss: death, miscarriage, divorce, job loss, financial loss, relocation, estrangement from family, etc.

    More than 50 people from Mount of Olives have previously completed this Grief Recovery Workshop and found it to be helpful in dealing with loss.

  • Meals That Heal

    Know someone who is home recovering from surgery or just had a baby? Perhaps you or someone you know is home-bound that could use a meal delivered, or whose caregiver could use a much needed break?

  • Runners Ministry

    Meets Weekly on Saturdays at 7:30am
    at Sycamore Park in Mission Viejo

    All are welcome to join us for a brief devotional and prayer. Then we'll begin our run/jog/walk/stroll.

    You're welcome to go whatever distance you like and leave whenever you're done. Sycamore Park is located near Denny's, Alicia Towne Plaza on Alicia Parkway. 25101 Charlinda Drive, Mission Viejo, 92691.

  • Team World Vision

    A team representing Mount of Olives Church runs with Team World Vision in the OC Half Marathon each year.

    Team World Vision has created an easy couch-to-course training program that enables all people (no matter what shape they are in or what their age may be) to successfully complete the run. Plus, you're not alone! When training is done as a team, there is built-in accountability and everyone wins. Many of our team members are first-time runners and walkers.

    The Couch-to-course training program begins now - this program was a perfect way to do something good for those in need in the name of the Lord and have accountability from your team members.

  • Sunday Adult Bible Study

    Typically - Sundays 10:00am in Music Room

    Enjoy Sunday morning interactive classes exploring Scripture and discussing topics and current issues, by seeking answers from God’s Word. This class provides a thematic approach incorporating a wide range of topics, using Scripture as the ultimate textbook. It is oriented toward teaching us how to understand and  apply God’s Word to today’s life experiences and adds a Q&A opportunity for those unanswered questions.   • Yoga for Jesus

    (Formerly Holy Yoga)

    Typically Offered Tuesdays, promptly 5:30-6:30pm and Offered Thursdays, 9:15-10:15am. Both offerings meet in the Music Room (on the 2nd floor of Building C off Courtyard)

    Come experience all the benefits of yoga while worshipping the Lord with all your mind, body and soul.

    Certified Yoga instructor Michelle Palmer will lead an hour long class which includes stretching, slow flow postures and breath work, all to contemporary Christian music.
    All skill levels, coed, and ages 12 and up welcome.
    Cost $35 for 5 session punch card or $10 drop-in fee.
