“Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you” - I Timothy 4:14

Volunteer to Serve

There are many opportunities to serve at Mount of Olives Church. We're always recruiting volunteers and we have ongoing needs in many ministries.

If you don't know how you'd like to serve, not to worry! We'll match you up with a ministry where you are most gifted and most needed.

Questions about serving? Want to hear more about how it works? Feel free to contact us for more information: Jessica Jensen, Community & Groups Coordinator, email jjensen@moochurch.org or call 949-837-7467

Serving Opportunities

There are many areas for you to use your talents and gifts to help Mount of Olives be a friendly and welcoming church. Our Mission is "To Know Christ and Make Him Known," and we can do that as we serve at worship services, special events and funerals.

We invite you to give a small amount of time to make a big impact in the lives of others.

  • Welcome Team volunteers are available to greet those who are attending Mount of Olives for the first time. They engage in conversation and introduce guests to other attendees. They give the Visitor Gift to first-time guests and invite them back to worship with us again next week!

  • Parking Lot Team members are stationed throughout the church's parking lots: main parking lot entrance, rear of main lot to direct guests to available parking spots or to additional parking lots, Rock and Stratford lots, etc. This team sets out the parking signs, greets and directs others with a smile and a wave! The parking lot team also helps those who may need assistance with wheelchairs and walkers.

  • Greeters welcome guests to campus with a joyful attitude sending the message that we are glad that they are here. Greeters are ready with a smile and wave - wherever they might be stationed!

  • Ushers greet people attending a worship service, memorial or other event on campus. They direct attendees and late arrivals to seats. During services, Ushers assist with directing attendees forward for Communion and receiving Offering.

  • Volunteer to serve with the Audio/Video Team bringing sound and video to services on campus. Members of the team also film services for online viewing - so that people can safely worship from home.

No experience necessary, we'll train you to operate a camera, run a computer program, sound board or stage lighting!

  • Do you have the gift of administration? Can you use your gifts to support our teams by using computer skills, data entry, and attention to details? Please contact Robin Horton, Business Administrator, to find available opportunities to serve, even with the Church Office currently closed/staff working remotely.

  • Are you handy with repairs? Are you gifted in construction or gardening? Volunteer to serve on the team that helps keep our Worship Center and entire campus looking its best and fully functional! Gather your Small Group for a service project or volunteer to be called upon when your skills are needed. There are many ways to serve - fill out the form below and we'll answer your questions and learn more.

  • Volunteer to serve if you're gifted or interested in learning about Photography, Writing/Proofreading, or Social Media. Contact our Communications Director, Alina, to learn about opportunities to serve to help us share the story of the ministries, programs and impact of Mount of Olives in our community and around the world.

  • Volunteer to serve and invest in the lives of children! This volunteer team creates an environment at Kid City where children are consistently exposed to the real love of Jesus.  You can serve in many different ways from Small Group Leader, Leader Helper, Checkin Support, Kid City Worship Team, Kid City AV Team, Craft Prep Support, Cleaning and so much more! Submit the form below or click here to fill out the Kid City specific volunteer interest form now.

  • The Prayer Team provides prayer support in many ways: offering prayer after services, praying for those on the weekly Prayer List and more.

  • Host a Small Group by offering a space to meet in your home (or on Zoom) for people to find meaningful community. We'll connect you with others that have similar interests or life-stage as you.

  • There are many ways to serve our clients at our Adult Day Program that runs Mondays-Fridays. (1) Activity and Engagement Volunteer:  interact directly with ADP Clients by participating in activities, games, arts & crafts, and the like alongside them. (2) Services and Entertainment Volunteer: you can bring your special skills such as performing music, theater, teaching an exercise class, providing pet or art therapy, etc. to share with ADP Clients. (3) Special Events Volunteer: assist with "behind-the-scenes" support for some of the events planned for ADP Clients throughout the year.
